Every photo tells a story! At the meeting, we shared the journey of My Good School and talked about the next book we are reading at The Teacher’s Academy.
In summer, you will wonder why the woollens! The photo is of my visit to the Gyanshree School last winter in December to meet Mrs. Rita Kapur, the Founder Director of the Gyanshree School. She is now the Director of the Haldiram Skills Academy.

On Sunday, March 16, 2025, a ceremony celebrated the life of Shomie Ranjan Das, The Man Who Saw Tomorrow.
This three-hour experience was a whirlwind, yet each moment felt deeply meaningful. The reflections shared were genuinely heartfelt, capturing the essence of Shomie—a remarkable legend and an enigma. He was one of the most outstanding individuals to have touched the lives of so many worldwide, leaving a lasting impact that we will cherish forever.

“Joining this book reading session has given me valuable insights into how a person’s surroundings shape their success. The Man Who Saw Tomorrow made me reflect on my students and how their environments influence their learning.
For example, I have seen students who struggle. They lack support at home, while others excel because of their nurturing environment. After understanding the impact of surroundings, I have become more mindful of creating a positive and motivating space in my classroom. I ensure that every child feels encouraged, regardless of their background.
One key realization from this session is that success is not just about intelligence but also mindset and adaptability. I have seen students who initially lacked confidence grow with the proper support and motivation. For instance, a student who once hesitated to participate in class discussions started engaging more after I encouraged open conversations and celebrated small achievements.
This book and discussion have reinforced my belief that teachers are crucial in shaping students’ journeys. By being aware of how the learning environment affects them, I have created a space where they feel capable, valued, and motivated to succeed.”

When one has to choose a career path, one would often think of the following things: "Doctor, Engineer, Astronaut, Scientist" but would never dream of saying "I want to be a plumber, an electrician, a restaurant waitress, a security guard for a local shop". Why? Because these jobs are what we think of as "menial". Ask the people around you if they would ever want to be a plumber, a house nanny, a school bus driver, etc, and the answer will be out instantly.

We celebrate the beautiful bond that unites us in supporting children as they discover the joy of learning and nurture their hopes for a brighter future. We begin this journey together in 2025-2026 with great pride, involving nineteen schools that share our mission, six institutions we support, and eleven esteemed partners. With this strong foundation established, it now lies with the community to further the cause of education. Every year, the Learning Forward India Foundation invites 25 schools to be members of the Good Schools Alliance and build a culture of trust and learning.
